We use it nonstop in all aspects of the field and with many different client populations.I'd highly recommend it to music therapists, but, I think they all know about it already. This book is invaluable for music therapists.
So many times it's a sing along and more than one person is trying to read the lyrics too. It makes it easier to read. I like the fact that this copy is large print.
The first one was so long ago I can't remember. I know so many of these songs. This is the second copy of this book I have puchased.
The chords are easy to follow and very simple. Start playing tunes from this book and you will draw a crowd of folks to sing along. This edition is revised since the first one I bought.
This book is a blast.
So, readers have no ability to determine the melody of the numerous old songs. Buyers be aware that the book contains only lyrics and guitar chords, WITHOUT MUSICAL NOTATION.
He says he loves this book. This book was a gift for my nephew a writer of music, conductor and about to receive his doctorate in music.
I am amazed to still find songs in it that I knew how to sing but didn't know was in the book. This book was recommended to me by the VOA correspondent in Pakistan 20 years ago. Thank you Pete. It is a must for anyone who played the guitar in the 1960's. Since then, I have owned at least 5 copies. It is one of my favorite gifts to singing friends.
